I loved producing copy for this global market research leader that helps businesses get feedback from thousands of people in minutes.
Leading publications – including Vogue, Forbes, and Business Insider – have published data collected through the platform.
The client wanted to rebrand, moving away from being a ‘quick n dirty’ market research tech platform. Instead, they wanted to:
- Position themselves as a market research partner. They don’t just run a DIY market research platform. They provide expert guidance to help companies better understand their customer demographics.
- Target larger companies – like McDonald’s, BMW, and Netflix – instead of the small-to-medium-sized businesses they’d been attracting before.
- Avoid sounding corporate, instead preferring the vibe of a high-energy startup.
They asked me to start at a micro level, workshopping the above-the-fold copy on their website home page (the copy you can see before you scroll).
I used a short, punchy style to replace the client’s old corporate feel with the action and energy of a high-level startup.
I even snuck in some references that the dream clientele mentioned earlier would see themselves in. (I love to speak directly to the audience.)
To finish, I added a clear, compelling button, prompting visitors to get started right away.
I threw bland out of the window in favour of fresh, startup energy. The result? New, on-brand, above-the-fold website copy that repositions the client as the standout market research provider.
