Project summary
Landi is a multi-award-winning travel adviser who plans every detail of is-this-real trips. Honestly, chatting to her, all I wanted was for her to plan a trip for me.
To create high-calibre copy that brings in high-budget clients who can finance the exclusive upgrades and private extras that make Landi’s trips so special.
We started with Landi completing her Finer Things Story Strategy. The thought-provoking questions in this in-depth review dive deep, which allowed Landi to get clear on what she wants her brand to look and feel like.
She gave the most inspiring answers, and I used these to go deeper again, coming up with questions specific to her offer and brand for our Connection Call. We got together in a video call a couple of days later, and chatting to Landi was like listening to a TED Talk. I took 13 pages of notes.
Next up, I did the technical SEO to optimise Landi’s new copy for Google, and then I immersed myself in her world of luxury travel. I wrote four pages of copy emulating her voice and brand: a homepage, a service page, an about page, and a contact page.
Every language choice was important. For example, I switched Landi’s ‘discovery calls’ for ‘Luxury Escape Planning Sessions.’
The calls haven’t changed under this new name, but their value is so much clearer. Wouldn’t you rather book a complimentary Luxury Escape Planning Session than a free discovery call?!
(Trust me, the calls deserved a great name given everything she’s put into them.)
When I finished the copy, I recorded Landi a 30-minute video walking through my creative decisions. I also created a complimentary style guide so she can transfer these decisions throughout her other marketing assets.
Copy that sets the tone for Landi’s ideal clientele and showcases why her vacations are a cut (well, several cuts) above those that general travel agents plan. Complete with a signature strategy that gift-wraps her process into a one-off framework that no other travel adviser offers. Talk about luxury.
Landi’s reply came through very quickly when I delivered the copy: ‘Love it love it love it! THANK YOU!’
